Yara Bishara is currently the Senior Producer at The New Yorker magazine overseeing all aspects of development, production, and post-production for the video team.
While at The New Yorker, she produced and edited The New Yorker's most-viewed video. "Royal Weddings, Then and Now," chronicled the visual journey of Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Megan Markle's weddings. Through weeks of research, precision editing, and coordination, the video garnered ten million views on Youtube within two weeks of publishing.
Previously, she was a staff video journalist at The New York Times. Her work focused on international news where she reported stories in a video-first way by breaking the mold of traditional news storytelling. Bishara utilized exclusive video sent via WhatsApp from sources on the ground and used open source tools to verify video.

Bishara is fluent in Arabic. Previously, she's lived in Washington D.C., Phoenix, Ramallah, and Haifa, where she was born.
