About

Will Brunker is a Cinematographer and Director living between Berlin and Los Angeles who always knows how to dress for the weather. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota Will was instilled with a sense of wonder about the world from an early age and he has followed that intuition from Chicago to LA, Berlin, and beyond. This ever evolving curiosity has led Will to seek out directors with markedly different voices to collaborate with as Director of Photography, finding changes in perspective, scenery and style particularly interesting and stimulating. Drawing from his longtime connection to the outdoors, Will’s body of work is grounded in naturalism, with a penchant for surrealism. Will has shot music videos which have garnered millions of views, commercials, and short films that have premiered at Dances With Films (LA & NYC), LA Latino International Film Festival, Hollyshorts and Beverly Hills Film Festival, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival. In 2021, Will made his first foray into directing through music videos. A collaboration with one of those artists, Shallou, has led him to direct his first narrative short film Meet Me There in 2025. Since 2023, Will has begun more collaborations in the documentary space, finding joy and artistry in the less structured, make-the-best-of-every-situation attitude that verite documentaries require. He has a short & feature documentary under his direction currently in the works.
