Wanqing Chen is an independent documentary filmmaker and multimedia journalist focusing on stories about underrepresented communities across Asia. Previously, she worked with the Associated Press in Beijing, China. Her visual works have appeared in international media platforms including Vice, VPRO, ZDF, Arte, and others. She is currently developing her debut documentary feature about a group of retired Chinese women in Wuhan.
