Sara was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL, and had the opportunity to practice video production in high school through the nationally-renowned program at the Center for Advanced Technologies. Early on she found her passion for editing and storytelling, weaving the creative and technical sides of filmmaking together to create unique pieces. She attended Florida State University and graduated with honors and an undergraduate certificate in Leadership Studies. In addition to her Bachelor's degree, she found her love for documentaries along the way. Throughout her seven years in the industry she's worked for PBS, Univision, Fusion, and two production companies, working with clients around the globe. In 2018 she became a freelance editor and assistant editor, and she has since worked on several major documentary projects. She lives in Brooklyn, New York and continue to work on vérité documentaries.
