I'm a folklorist, artist, and filmmaker based in Durham. I grew up rural, and North Carolina's always been home. My creative voice, approach, and interests reflect that. I make films, tv, music videos, photographs, and creative direct marketing campaigns.

Sandra Katharine Davidson is a North Carolina filmmaker, artist, and folklorist whose work explores Southern culture and landscape, creativity, women, and family. Through her company, Peach Sky Media, she produced, directed, and hosted Homegrown History (2026), an eight-episode public history series for PBS North Carolina. With Emmy Award–winning director Cynthia Hill, she produced the feature films Kyle Larson vs. The Double (Prime Video, 2026) and Kid Racers (NASCAR Studios). She's filmed, directed, and edited music videos for Watchhouse, Skylar Gudasz, Dante High, Blue Cactus, Mipso, and others.
Sandra is also a photographer who focuses on portraiture and the natural world. She was previously content and marketing director at the North Carolina Arts Council, where she produced three statewide campaigns about the arts. And for seven years she co-hosted and produced the Southern feminist podcast She and Her with WUNC's Anita Rao. She holds an MA in Folklore from UNC-Chapel Hill and lives in Durham.
