Ross has been making videos and films since grade school, and has been working at it professionally for over 20 years. He started his career in Los Angeles working on feature films and commercials, eventually moving to Washington, DC where he fell in love with documentary filmmaking.
He has since travelled the world shooting documentaries of all kinds across five continents for organizations like Fox Sports, USAID, The World Bank, and others. Most recently he spent six years as a staff cinematographer, editor, and video journalist for The Washington Post, covering multiple elections, royal successions, natural disasters, and human interest stories across the country.
Ross is a versatile one-man-band when it comes to documentary production, ready and capable to go into a wide variety of situations at the drop of a hat and produce high quality material. As an award winning cinematographer, he thrives in larger and more complex production environments as well, and believes strongly in the power of collaboration and good team work.
