Peggy Aw is a Burmese-American aspiring film programmer originally from New York City. She is drawn to cinema that engages rigorously with form, politics, and the cultural forces that shape how we see and are seen. She has screened for festivals including the Austin Film Festival and the Brooklyn Film Festival and has served on film jury panels.
She has a background in nonfiction video editing, assistant video editing, and motion design. Her work spans feature documentaries, museum media, nonprofit projects, and digital publications. She currently works at the nonprofit Society for Neuroscience, supporting its members and the broader community.
Beyond institutional spaces, Peggy runs Quaint Metropolis, a film and book analysis Substack where she invites readers to think critically about the entertainment they consume and the world it reflects.
