Mariah Mellus is the Executive Director of the Utah Film Center.

As Executive Director of the Utah Film Center, Mariah brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, marketing, fundraising, board governance, and community and government relations. Her extensive background in public relations includes eight years in music festival and collegiate bowl game event production, 17 years as an arts and culture reporter for SLUG Magazine, almost 3 decades with Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, and nearly 20 years with the Utah Film Center.
Deeply committed to Utah’s creative community, Mariah serves on the board of the Motion Picture Association of Utah. Outside of her professional work, she supports cancer research through running with the Huntsman Hometown Heroes, volunteers alongside her daughter with the National Charity League, enjoys watching films with her husband Derek—who also works in the film industry—and is a devoted parent to two children, two dogs, and a cat.
