Lauren Pruitt is a Colombian-American Cinematographer versed in narrative storytelling through motion pictures.
Lauren made her first film at age 15 with a group of friends and a camcorder before studying screenwriting at the University of Texas. She spent time as an editor before working in the camera department, and while she’s spent a decade working with cameras, she’s a storyteller at heart and has written and directed three short films entitled “Highsmith”, “Dave”, and “Mujer de la Ciudad” as well as 4 spec commercials that garnered 6 Addy Awards.
Lauren’s work has screened at SXSW and Berlin’s Feminist Film Week and her screenplay “Little Mouth” was chosen for the AFS Intensive Lab with Oscar-Nominated Director Richard Linklater.
