About

Kevin Otte was born in Reichenbach, Germany and grew up there on a quaint farm. He moved to the United States in 2002, at age 10, and settled in York County, PA. In middle school, Kevin used his friend’s DVD Camcorder to record funny skits and created a workflow to import the discs and edit them into a web series. By just tinkering and messing around with computer programs, he learned a lot about editing and started watching feature films from a totally different perspective. After spending four summers flipping burgers and serving ice cream at a local drive-in restaurant in Pennsylvania, Kevin partnered with a friend to create a video production business. Kevin graduated from Temple University in 2015 and moved to Los Angeles to start his career as an assistant editor, immediately starting on the documentary films Ear Buds: The Podcasting Documentary and Pink and Blue: Colors of Hereditary Cancer. After landing work at Showtime and HBO Documentaries, Kevin made his Sundance debut with the all-archival documentary Mike Wallace Is Here. Consistently being a lead assistant editor in charge of a team of AEs and Post PAs on documentary series like The Playbook (Netflix), No One Saw A Thing (SundanceTV), and They Call Me Magic (Apple TV+), Kevin was promoted to the role of Post Production Supervisor at Delirio Films in 2022, where he oversees the boutique production company's slate of premium documentary features and series. He is a 2015 Graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where he received numerous Regional EMMY award nominations for his editing work for the campus television station.
