ISABEL JOFFILY got her bachelor degree in Social Sciences by UFRJ and in 2015 she graduated as Master of Visual Arts by UERJ. Isabel Joffily began her directing career with the documentary short THE PORTRAIT OF CAMEM D. (2015), selected to more than 15 national and international festivals, such as Visions du Réel and It’s All True IFF.. In 2021, Isabel directed her first feature documentary AFTER SPRING, selected to Cinelatino - Rencontres de Toulouse, Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema and Rio de Janeiro Film Festival, among others. Isabel produced A SYMPHONY FOR A COMMON MAN (2022), selected to Hot Docs, IDFA and It’s All True IFF, where it received an Editing Award and a Special Mention. Isabel also wrote and produced 7 HAIRCUTS IN CONGO, selected to Doc Lisboa, Olhar de Cinema (Curitiba Int’l Film festival), where it received the Best Brazilian Movie Award, and Rio IFF, where it received a Special Mention. Isabel Joffily was part of IDFA Academy 2023.
