Hannah Varnell is a director/DP based in Austin, Texas. She approaches filmmaking through a journalistic lense, channeling a fascination with human behavior to empower subjects to feel heard and celebrated. An advocate for the independent creative community in Austin, she makes music, fashion, and dance videos focusing on queer art. She has also worked on travel projects with BBC, New York Times, AJ+, Travel Channel and Food Network. She particularly loves the intersection of raw accidents and perfect design. Her heart forever lives in the documentary space, so she brings documentary sensibilities to every project.
