I am an assistant professor of Media Studies in the Department of Mass Communication at North Carolina Central University. My area of research is the critical ideological analysis of popular culture stories.
About
Gabriel Cruz, PhD, has been an educator at the college level for more than a decade. As a first generation college student from a working-class background Gabriel understands the value of making educational material publicly accessible to people outside of the academy. As such, in addition to continuing to work in the classroom he also creates public-facing educational content on TikTok and Instagram (@gacruz_phd) and on patreon with his podcast Office Hours with Dr. C.
