About
Dr. Sarah Childress is the Director of Strategy & Operations at Nashville PBS, where she partners with independent producers to distribute their work to public-television audiences nationwide. In July, she joins the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville as Director of Programs, advocating for independent creators across film, music, and the arts. A filmmaker herself, Sarah produced Música Campesina, which screened at BAFICI, Mill Valley, and Lincoln Center's Latinbeat. She holds a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from Vanderbilt University and serves as vice chair of the Belcourt Theatre board.
