Ally Kahashy is a filmmaker, director, and cinematographer from the Democratic Republic of Congo whose work is rooted in observation, human connection, and visual poetry. Through documentary and nonfiction storytelling, he explores identity, culture, and everyday realities often overlooked by global media. As a co-founder of Nyiragongo Ngoma Production, he collaborates with local voices to craft intimate, honest stories that reflect the depth, resilience, and creative spirit of African communities.
