What begins as a glimpse into a loving home slowly unwinds in reverse, revealing a hidden world of unethical breeding, neglect, and a preventable public health crisis. Through intimate access to rescues, veterinary triage, and the KSPCA's ambitious vaccine and spay-neuter drives, the film builds a powerful, unspoken case for a simple truth: adopt, don't shop. This is a tale of tails—a story of courage, compassion, and the belief that every lost soul deserves a second chance.

Because behind every puppy sold in a pet shop window is a story no one wants to tell — and a truth every buyer deserves to know. This documentary follows the brave souls on the frontlines of Kenya's puppy trade boom: the KSPCA rescuers who raid hellish facilities, the vets who heal broken bodies, and the families who choose adoption over shopping.

We don't lecture. We show. And let the audience arrive at their own conclusion: adopt, don't shop.

Why Now?

Kenya's unregulated puppy breeding industry is exploding. Demand for "pure breeds" has skyrocketed. Behind closed doors, dogs suffer in squalid conditions. Unvaccinated puppies enter homes carrying diseases — including rabies, which is 100% fatal once symptoms appear. This isn't just an animal welfare crisis. It's a public health emergency.

No documentary has tackled this intersection — until now.

What We Need?

We have a powerful proof-of-concept trailer, deep access to the KSPCA, and a clear vision. We need $50,000 to complete production, post-production, and a strategic festival run.
